..."It's “drivers, start your engines time”, “the kick off,” “the day we make our escape”...

That is how the notes I made for the book we have written about this itinerary begin - I wrote them on the day we began filming the very first webisode (webspeak for "ITV" or "Internet television" episode) of the Drive WA  Loco TV production that has been years in the concept stage and was finally happening.

Watch the first webisode of DriveWA below of day 1 of Greatescape #1.

The text on the webpages for Days 1 to 7 that you can access from the above index for this Greatescape #1 itinerary are made up of short extracts from those notes.

The Escape to Ningaloo itinerary is also available in our interactive itinerary planner.

This is in many ways my favourite greatescape but that may be because it was my very first, many moons ago and there are a number of firsts for us associated with this trip.

And this self drive trip has everything - great food, great wine, fantastic geographic landforms, beautiful beaches and sandhills that go on as far as the eye can see, birds, bees, anthills, fish, Pinnacles, historic landmarks, a World Heritage area and heritage buildings, stories about the first man to land on the moon and the magnificent Ningaloo Reef region and the list goes on and on and on!  In our opinion there is no trip anywhere else in the world with so much to offer!

Of course the book itself has much more detail than we could provide in these short extracts and has many more fantastic features, including some magnificent pictures.  So when it is finally released we are sure you will find that it is well worth buying as it will help you enjoy your DriveWA escape even more.

So come and have a look at the Day1 page for Greatescape #1 in a second - or perhaps a little longer depending on the speed of your computer - or have a look at the DriveWA ITV show for Day one - the first webisode of DriveWA - day 1 of Greatescape #1.

I am sure you will enjoy our Greatescape #1.

Now this greatescape is very like the content of TourismWA's Extraordinary Taxi Ride promotional itineraries numbered 3 (Perth Lifestle - Swan Valley section), 5 (Coast and Nature Spectacular) and 6 (Ningaloo Reef Adventure) which feature much the same areas and show some other points of interest and attractions for you to consider and you can select the blog you want to see from the list on the left hand side of that page if the one you want does not come up from this link.  There are also some excellent ITV pieces for you to see from Perth Lifestyle, Coast and Nature and Ningaloo which we recommend you watch..

If you have any questions about how all this fits together please contact us and we will endeavour to answer your questions.

Please sit back and watch and enjoy the first webisode of DriveWA which is below.
