Natural Environment

Please help us protect the environment we love so much.

A moment of seriousness is called for every now and then and this is a serious subject that will affect how we all enjoy ourselves and relax while we DriveWA.

Western Australia is a beautiful state that boasts great natural features but our environment is a precious thing that we must protect.

Because we enjoy this natural environment so much and it is the main thing that keeps us interested in driving around W.A. so we can enjoy it and be part of the natural environment we are committed to doing whatever we can to retain and sustain it.

Now nothing worthwhile ever came without any effort and without any cost at all and when we travel around this great state we cause emmissions and leave a trail behind.

We are committed to several organisations that are doing excellent work to "retain, sustain and improve" our natural environment in Leave No Trace Australia, Track Care and Carbon Neutral and we urge you most strongly to read the webpages we have created about these organisations and to contribute in your own way to this effort.

You would not be able to afford to DriveWA if you were not in the privileged upper half of the world's population and in our opinion it is part of your obligation to this planet we use, to put something back in to help preserve it so that future generations may also be able to enjoy that privilege.  

If you wont do it for them - do it for yourself - because you might find some places like we did many years ago that you would like to come back to - and you dont want to find them damaged and or covered in litter do you?

The more people that follow the Leave No Trace mantra of "take only pictures and leave only footprints" and our "dont drive fast, don't drive past, come in and see the real Western Australia" the better we will all be.

So please enjoy yourself as you plan your next (or perhaps your first) DriveWA escape and then as you drive around WA - but leave it better than you found it for the next person.
