Rottnest Island
Rottnest (or Rotto to the locals) is a wonderful, inexpensive family getaway. The island, 30 minutes by ferry from Fremantle, is rich with history and culture.
Rottnest is a great family friendly retreat. Nearly everyone on the island is on holidays. To get around the island you can either walk, ride a bike (which can be hired or take your own), or use the public bus.
