Kalgoorlie-Boulder

Kalgoorlie-Boulder are historic adjoining towns with its architecture and wide street reflecting the gold rush era but it still offers modern facilities to visitors and residents.

Located 596km east of Perth, this gold mining capital has a population of 30,000.

Kalgoorlie boomed during the gold rush era and is one of the few surviving towns. It is a great place to learn about the gold rush of the 1890's, pan for gold, visit nearby ghost towns and experience the fascinating history of Kalgoorlie-Boulder.

Kalgoorlie-Boulder is also the ending point for the CY O'Connor pipeline that transports water from Mundaring Weir to this outback town.

Two great trails have been developed that encompass Kalgoorlie as a major point of interest.
The Golden Pipeline Heritage Trail follows the pipeline and its history from Perth to Kalgoorlie.
The Golden Quest Discovery Trail will lead you on a 965 km adventure through the regions gold rush history.
