Halls Creek is the gateway to Purnululu and Wolfe Creek Crater National Parks. Located 2,855km north of Perth, Halls Creek has a population of 1,305.

Halls Creek was physically removed from its original site to its current location in 1948. It made the move 15km down the road as they had to do this due of lack of water. It is still operates as a mining town.
