The Merredin Military Museum has a fine collection of memorabilia including uniforms, vehicles and equipment from conflicts including World War I, World War II, Korea and Vietnam.

The Museum is located near the water tower and pioneer park. Merredin also has a number of World War II facilities still in situ including munitions igloos and supply hangers.

Merredin is a wheat town and home to the world’s largest road train. Located 260km east of Perth, Merredin has a population of 3,600. The town's name is derived from the Aboriginal word "merrit-in", the place of the merrit tree, a eucalypt used to make spears.  more
